The problems with this category of complaint:
1) The changes don't hit PvPers. (Correction: I guess they DO hit PvPers, according to the OP, but not the right variety.)
2) It's pretty much the perfect target for that ubiquitous mob which runs around yelling "adapt!" because they think it makes them seem like grizzled, hardcore EVE vets.
This combination of factors pretty much guarantees that the issue will be ignored for the foreseeable future. |

I'm not going to dispute that somebody, somewhere, in the history of EVE once happened to use a drone boat to complete a mission while AFK. But it certainly was never prevalent player behavior, and even if it had been, it would not have been anywhere near an optimal way to complete missions or make ISK in the game. That this was somehow an extremely common thing for people to do with drone boats is just such a completely blatant myth.
But the thing is, CCP hasn't even said that this is why they changed NPC AI. So you can sit there and make up a bunch of reasons if you want to, but at least admit you're gathering them from thin air, not from anything that CCP claimed. |

Not to even mention "the hunting side" of pvpers aspect..
I still don't think that qualifies as the "right kind" of PvPer, as far as CCP is concerned. If the people who live out in nullsec and are self-sufficient with what they earn out there were effected badly enough, and they complained loudly enough, something would get done about it. But your average Joe who makes his nut running L4's is not really somebody who CCP is inclined to care about. Especially when there's this overwhelming wave of cynical fools backing up CCP with the "adapt!" argument. |
